UPDATE:Since my review below, the customer service agent did provide me with an update and told me that he had upgraded the shipping to overnight. Indeed the glasses were delivered from Italy the following morning. As a result, I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars.I'm leaving my original review below as I think the points raised are all valid. The fact that the sunglasses could be delivered in less than 24 hours from when I complained, simply serves to confirm that Ray-Ban could have met the original promised delivery date. Likewise, the shipment clearly hadn't been collected, so they could also have honoured my cancellation request.As it is, I can't be bothered with returning sunglasses at my own expense just to make a point. I should also clarify that my review relates specifically to the experience of buying via Ray-Ban's official website, and not to the product itself.==== Original Review ====Ordered some sunglasses on Saturday, with Express Delivery for the Tuesday. Nothing had arrived by 2pm, so I double checked the order status, only to find that the order was still waiting to be shipped.I telephoned to check this and had a slightly odd conversation with a customer service agent who agreed that this was "no good" and promised to check with "backoffice" and call me back.90 minutes later, no call or email, so I used the online chat. I ended up talking to the same guy (do they only have one guy?), who suddenly managed to find me a UPS tracking number. Great, so it's coming today then...? Apparently not. Another 2 - 3 days; very "express".I checked the UPS website and the shipping label had only just been created by their warehouse, which is in Italy. At this point, I requested to cancel the order.I was then told, and I quote: "Ray-Ban can only cancel orders after one hour of them being placed" - by which, they meant you can only cancel in the 1 hour window after placing the order. Naturally, I pointed out that this is in direct contravention of the Consumer Contracts Regulations. The guy has promised to try and cancel it and send me an update. I shall await the update with baited-breath.I can understand that logistics problems happen, and are often no fault of the retailer (not the case here), and I'm happy to accept that.I can understand mistakes happen, and I'm happy to accept that too. Nobody's perfect.The key is how the company responds when they are made aware of the problem and the fact that you, the customer, are not happy. Certainly, you don't make up nonsense rules that contravene the law and then insult your customer's intelligence. You don't make stupid statements about how delivery dates are "estimates and not guarantees", particularly when you advertise the delivery date throughout the sales process as a key benefit of the transaction.You don't do any of that, because that would be insulting to your customer and make your business look like an arrogant mess.What you do is apologise and offer something by way of compensation, particularly when you are selling sunglasses with a profit margin in excess of 1000%. Not that I am particularly looking for freebies; the fact that something is offered is enough to show that the company cares about me as a customer.By buying direct, Ray-Ban makes a huge profit that is much higher than if they were selling wholesale to a retailer. They should be bending over backwards to offer a superlative customer experience in every way. There are other luxury brands that know how to do this, and it seems to me that Ray-Ban need to do a bit of catching up.This has not been a luxury brand experience - it feels like a cheap outlet. They wasted no time in collecting my money, and then just sat on it. Very poor. Reputable companies either take the funds on despatch, or make sure they deliver impeccable service, as promised.So, if you really want Ray-Bans, buy them in a high street store instead. You'll be supporting a retailer, and you'll get a proper service.

A long story full of endurance to the very end
I used the official Ray-Ban UK website to create a pair of Remix sunglasses with custom engraving on both the sunglasses and case totalling £192.The first time I tried to purchase these sunglasses the website gave me an error that the transaction had failed and to try again using PayPal, so I did. It failed again with the same error.I gave up and assumed it was a server error. However, I later checked my bank and noticed that I was charged twice (£384 down!) but was not given an order number. I phoned up RayBan customer service, who were largely useless at first and then phoned up my Bank who asked me to get in touch with RayBan. A joyful circle of not getting anywhere....A day later my bank set up a conference call with RayBan and my money was refunded (Did take multiple phone calls over the 2 days, and multiple discussions with a Manager!).I tried to order again, with a different browser and different card as per the support agents suggestion.Same issue.Tried Again.Same issue.After going through a long cycle of getting my money refunded I was given 15% discount and a RayBan representative tried to order the item for me over the phone.Same issue again.The next day the Manager phoned me and tried the order.Failed Again.Eventually, and I really do mean ~eventually~ we found a bug in the website: The billing address and shipping address needed to be the same.The manager gave me 40% discount and my sunglasses arrived in 5 business days alongside a development bug being opened (Not sure if it has been resolved as I do not plan on ordered more sunglasses any time soon)!Not sure how that ever passed QA, but an interesting find nonetheless.Pros:- Quick delivery- Good quality- Nice engraving on both the sunglasses and case- Helpful managerCons:- Support agents are largely useless- Bug in the website

Very efficient service - happy customer
I placed an order for the chromance polarised glasses on Tuesday and received them today (Friday) before 1pm. Considering they are shipped from Italy I am super impressed with how quickly they arrived. I did not have to pay a delivery fee and there was a 20% discount code. Very happy customer, really can’t fault the service. I have also ordered ray bans in the past and sent them back as I did not like the shape of the glasses in the end and had no trouble with the refund.

Outstanding aftersales service! Ray-Bans forever! I've decided to offer this outstanding review for Ray-Ban's official UK site to resolve out an issue that I had with my new Ray-ban Aviators! (Ordered my sunglasses before my big holiday but never used them). Rather than just throwing them into my old desk drawer never to use them again, I decided to try my luck and contacted customer services. The communication was superb in a timely fashion. I was very impressed by the brilliant UPS fast delivery. Overall, I will 100% recommend purchasing from them and will be using them again in the future. Was dubious considering all the negative reviews, however, I had a very positive experience. Was predicted a 7 day wait from order to delivery, and arrived within 5. Good communication from UPS, great condition, boxed well and came with a smart brown leather case.

This review I’m writing is based off of my ordering and return experience. I really had no trouble at all. I placed my order on a Sunday and received my glasses 3 days later on a Wednesday. I decided I didn’t like the fit, look or price so I started a return. It was a super simple and easy process, and they included a return label through UPS which I was able to track to make sure it got back to the company. I also received an e-mail confirmation confirming that they had received the package and had started my refund. Then about 5-6 days later I got my full refund back into my bank account. The only bad thing I have to say is the glasses felt really cheap and not sturdy for prescription glasses. They were not worth the amount they charged, even with the buy one get one 20% off. Which is the main reason why I returned them so I just ended up going to LensCrafters and purchased a pair of ray bans there.
