I was in your store tonight and, I was very upset and, only wanted bait to go fishing tonight . I'm a Veteran's administrator and, I work with Veteran's alot . I've just broke up , with my girlfriend . I've been fishing for , a while now , but . I always night fish and, get broken off alot . In the fishing Dept , you have an employee named Roy . I told him my problem , not with my girlfriend , but about . Me getting snapped off , while fishing . He told me right away , what the problem was . My drag was , set to tight . He made me feel much better and, tonight I'll adjust my drag . I want to thank him and, I know that . Three Cheers For Cabela's, Hip Hip Hooray!

Yesterday, October the 27th., I went through the process at Cabela's of trading in a used, but in mint condition long barreled revolver for a brand spanking new semi-automatic pistol. I've never set foot in a Cabela's outdoor recreation store before. The one I went to is located at 12901 Cabelas Drive here in Fort Worth. The place is overwhelmingly huge and impressive! From what I understand, this Cabela's store is the second largest one in the United States. Anyway, as I was saying, I went to the Cabela's to trade in a fine old gun and buy a particular new one. And I must say, everything went better than I had hope. Especially the great handgun deal that was struck between me and the very amiable and ethical guys that run the Cabela's Gun Library. Throughout the whole transaction I couldn't have been treated any fairer or with more respect. So I extend my sincere kudos to both the dedicated men and women who are employed at Cabela's. And I especially want to give a appreciative shout-out to those employees I had one-on-one interaction with during my pleasurable business with the store. And those employees by name are; Dakota, Daryl, and Rocky. These 3 men work in the gun library. There are probably other gun library employees I didn't see or meet during my early Sunday afternoon store visit. But the 3 aforementioned men who were working yesterday on Sunday were attentive, gracious and quite competent at their jobs. And I wasn't surprised to learn that Rocky was the respected head honcho of the gun library department. A good guy.

Expensive for the quality

Expensive for the quality. I've bought 2 pair of boots from here, only to have the soles detach within a couple months. They replaced both pairs, but for the price, I expected better.

Best place to shop! The selection is enormous, the people are very knowledgeable and courtiers and the prices are resonable. Great atmosphere! Deduct one star for the recent merger with Bass Pro. Policies and The Cave have changed. ..and not for the good.

I've ordered online from Cabelas for years, not once have I been disappointed. I like the fact they enclose a printed return label, if you don't like what you bought just put it back in the box , give them a call and send the thing back. Never a problem.

Sad Customer Service

Last year, I purchased a beautiful camping kitchen online. It was the deluxe camping kitchen that Cabela's sells. I love it. On the first trip of the year, the one pantry got eaten by an animal and the cover ripped. At the time of purchase, I did not know that Cabela's existed and I bought the kitchen from Amazon. Amazon introduced me (a new customer that buys camping gear a lot) to Cabela's. In an effort to get some replacement parts from the maker, I visited the Cabela's website and discovered what I thought was a new and amazing company.... I called and explained to them that I did not purchase from them but that I had their kitchen and I wanted to BUY replacement parts. The first rep told me that because I did not buy from them they could not help me. The next rep told me that they could help and that they had the parts. The next rep told me that they could help but she needed pictures to know which one it was. I sent the pictures and then another rep emailed and said, sorry the parts are made in China and they could not get them. After about 2 weeks of back and forth and me asking for a manager (that I never got), I got completely shut down. I went on the website and they still sell the kitchen and they have a big sign that says "LIFETIME GUARANTEE". If they lifetime guarantee it they have to have access to parts right? I could literally go on the site and buy a new kitchen for $139 and they would have to replace the parts with their "lifetime guarantee". I gave them plenty of time to do the right thing and sell me the parts. I literally begged...and nothing. I want people to know how unbelievably unaccommodating they are. It is sad to know that they just don't care about new customers. I usually don't write reviews but I am so frustrated that I want to be heard.7/21/17I recently wrote a note about the customer service that I experienced from this company. After expressing my experience on several review sites, I got a call from a manager asking if he could rectify the situation. I explained that all I wanted was to buy a few replacement parts for my camping kitchen and he maintained the comment that they could not provide those parts. He then offered to replace the entire kitchen. I explained that it was not my intent to get a free kitchen; he explained that this was the only way he could get me parts. I finally accepted his offer and received my new kitchen the other day. I do appreciate the fact that they wanted to make it right and that they went above and beyond to change my opinion of the brand. I love my camping kitchen and I wanted to update my review to reflect my appreciation of their followup. This was far more than what I wanted/expected and it makes me believe that they actually care about their customers. Thank you.

I want to thank everybody in the power sports department of Cabela's East Hartford Connecticut. We purchased a new boat from them in January of this year. Evan went over the whole boat from the bow to the Stern with us explaining as much as we could absorb. He also Went over the motor and upkeep as well. We took the boat out on the Hudson River and the motor was not excellerating properly, we called the service department and Evan spoke to us and had my husband try all kinds of different things to resolve issue . We brought the boat back 2 hours away to Cabela's East Hartford because we had so much trust with Evan (the boat and motor has a warranty so we could have taken it to any authorized dealer . I spoke to Linda the secretary in power sports department and she was professional and told me about the warranty and that the service department would make our boat a priority , she also told me I should talk to Tom Savage who is the Manager of the power sports department . We spoke to Tom and he explained what Evan and Alex had found what was wrong with the motor, it was a simple sensor. Alex called and let me know that they took the boat out on the water and she ran beautiful. Tom called and said he would meet us half way. Tom met us on the way to go see his Mom in the hospital ( it was his day off ) Wow I can't thank Evan, Linda, Alex and Tom enough . We are so happy with our new boat . Almost forgot we have a 3 year warranty on new motor and when Tom gave us the boat back he also gave us an extra 2 year warranty on our motor the platnuim ( best) for a total of 5 years. I highly recommend this power sport department !!!!!!

So. Slow.

I've only experienced this at Cabelas in Madison /Sun Prairie, WI. The checkout process is abysmally slow - always, no matter which checker, no matter when I go there, and at every visit. I would almost swear the store intentionally tries to drag out the process. Maybe some people like being asked every time for their personal details, whether they want to use a Cabelas card (or get one), if they want to donate to this and/or that, blahblahblah. I actually have other places to be and errands on my to-do list on a weekday morning.
