Wow!!

Wow! I had no ideal there were so many bad reviews. I've made a few purchases from cb2's and only once experienced a glitch in the billing. It took hours to resolve, but eventually resolved. Other then that I've found their customer service impeccable. Deliveries were on time. Furniture was set up white glove by very polite movers, who were ready to take furniture apart and put back on truck, if I didn't like it. That was nice !! A bed I'd order had a crack in the wood. CB2's replaced it within 10 days. CONS: I do think CB2's is a little over priced on SOME but not all of their products. The back ordered merchandise is a pain to have to wait for and then the 3 month wait turns into 4. I canceled 2 items and settled for something else. I'm still looking for a sectional sofa as I write this. The one I chose from cb2's is back ordered. I just wish they had what I wanted when I wanted it. Other then that my experience with cb'2s as been GREAT!!!!!

Easy delivery

Wow, I just bought a new bed from CB2, and if I saw the reviews here beforehand, I'm sure I would not have made the purchase. I, however, had a perfectly good experience. Maybe it is region dependent? I cannot readily asses how much better the piece is compared to IKEA, but I got my delivery on time, and placed directly in my room. I purchased online, and discussed with the delivery men whether or not the assembly fee was included in the delivery, because I couldn't remember and the website does not make it clear. They assembled the bed, which I am sure was actually for free, as a favor. If the bed falls apart, I'll drop off some starts, but for now, great customer service, and like the new bed. Anything but a bad experience.

So I was fully aware of the negative…

So I was fully aware of the negative feedback prior to ordering my Leynx XL Sofa, It was 3 months on back order so I rolled the dice as me and my husband loved this piece in particular and were willing to wait. I have to say my experience was excellent, it came in the time estimated, customer service was excellent, and they walked me through obtaining a certificate of insurance from my building management. I was really impressed with the whole process and pleasantly surprised. Maybe I just got lucky but I would definetly order from CB2 again. Thanks CB2!!

Skeptical then pleasantly surprised.

So, I was very skeptical after reading reviews (mostly backorder and delivery complaints) on this site but the couch I had my heart set on was with CB2. I had an online chat with a representative from the company and voiced my concerns due to the reviews. She made me feel a little better. Then after trying to find another couch I liked as well unsuccessfully, I called the company and spoke with SOUJANYA VEMULA. She was very nice, understood my concerns and assured me that there were 9 of my couches in stock in Chicago. I ordered the couch and crossed my fingers. I received a receipt right away, my delivery date was confirmed via email for the date I was promised by Soujanya. I then got a phone call to confirm my delivery time (a two-hour window, not too bad) the Friday before my Monday delivery. Today, which is the delivery date I received a call saying that my couch would be delivered in 45 minutes.It came, in 45 minutes as promised, the delivery men were great, set it up, took the box and other packing materials. I received a call 30 minutes after delivery to make sure my delivery went smooth! Above and beyond! I LOVE IT!! I think reviews are important, and I will continue to check them but in this case, I am really glad that I went with my gut to trust them. They kept me more informed than any other delivery company I have had. So, thank you CB2, SOUJANYA VEMULA and my delivery guys!

Not flawless, but resolved well

My experience with CB2 wasn't flawless, but in the end everything worked out. I purchased 32 pieces of dinner settings (plates, bowls, mugs etc). Initially, they sent out only 1 piece from the order, the rest were still processing, which I found odd. Eventually, I started to contact customer service because it shouldn't take long to process. I had some delays in getting email responses, so I ended up calling them. The first call went fine, she said she would tell the warehouse to push the order out. After a few more days with no progress, I called again- this time, he changed warehouses, and upgraded me to expedited shipping free of charge. Everything went fine, the items finally shipped. When I got the items, I knew something was wrong immediately- the box was absolutely smashed on my porch. The items were not packed well, and I found two plates shattered. I contacted customer service, and they put two replacement plates on expedited shipping, no questions asked. I later found a hairline fracture in another plate, obviously something I missed the first time around, and once more they sent a replacement.To summarize, there were definitely issues caused by CB2, but they were very helpful to resolve all of the issues quickly. This experience definitely won't stop me from ordering again- the end products were well worth it.

I actually found this review site AFTER I had ordered a table online from CB2 - and was extremely worried that I would have a bad experience like others have expressed. However, even though my table came in a little later than promised - it was the correct product and in good shape. I love my new table. Don't let all the negative reviews deter you from ordering from CB2. As you probably know - people usually just do these reviews when they're upset, not when they're satisfied. I just wanted to put my two cents in to help balance out the negative reviews.

I purchased sheets and bedding

I purchased sheets, coverlet and shams. The quality wasn't very good. The coverlet was thin and quite small for a queen mattress. The sheets felt pretty flimsy. Wouldn't buy again.

For the price

For the price, I wasn't super impressed with the quality, even though I like my couch. If it was 30% cheaper I would give a 5 star rating.

Great customer service experience

I worked with Phyliss in the Philadelphia store. I had a few issues with my order and she was quick to respond. My difficulties were fixed promptly. She was very pleasant to work with. My items are beautiful and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE / BUSINESS NEEDS INVENTORY MGT IMPROVEMENT

I have ordered many products from CB2. There have been a few glitches. But when discovered they do their best to rectify the situation. I had placed an order during a sale period and for some reason the charge was not processed properly by my credit card company as they mistook it for a fraudulent charge (weird!) and the order was cancelled. I had been away, and I called my charge company and CB2 immediately upon my return on a 3-way call. CB2 could not have been nicer or more helpful. The rep reinstated the order - even though by then the sale was over - and applied the sale price to the items once again. I was extremely impressed. I had fully expected that I would have been given a hard time and that is why I had my credit card company on the line with me so they could verify why they had not processed the charge. CB2 left a lasting positive impression on me. Also, the items I have received are of good to very good quality.I would give them 5 stars but for one thing - inventory management. There are still items for which I have been waiting months. From time to time they have sent emails letting me know the product was still back-ordered and asking me if I wanted to cancel. I have left the order in force. However, it's been months and still no product. I think they need to do a better job of managing their vendors and their promised work/delivery of goods schedule.But, all in all, I think CB2 is one of the best home goods catalogue companies in the States. I would definitely recommend doing business with them
