Dish TV review

We had some bad experiences with both Spectrum and Direct TV. Between them they took us for several hundred dollars. We went with the last resort and it was Dish TV, what a welcome breath of fresh air. We started out rough with mistakes they had made, but they recififed everyone, because of these issues, we did not get our first bill four months later as they gave us free service. The Dish app is primo, I get every channel my home service gets, with Spectrum no local, no TBS, no Prime Channels, but we got several channels of Montana and South Dakota football, I am in Texas. I hope this trend continues with Dish, they have been great.

Got it fixed!

We had problems with Dish after talking many times on the phone they sent out one tech he worked hard couldn't figure it out he called for another tech to come and help him,this guy figured it out in no time got everything working.these guys were so nice. Knew there job.On the phone it's was amazing everyone have different different answers.Just send someone to the house when a problem can't be solved.

I want a full year without cable then I searched and found Dish Network and their prices are excellent and they make watching TV affordable again they also give you perks such as free movies and I tip my hat off to you for the free movie channels in these desperate times I would recommend dish to anybody the price they give you has the price you pay every month no baloney that's why I got fed up with cable every month the bill was different thanks dish

cable laying in bottom of gutter

Last year we had our dish moved to the other side of the house because trees were blocking our signal. The tech that installed the cable ran it thru the gutter system. We didn't say anything then but now have a problem as we are having a new gutter system installed.We had a different tech team this time that for the moment has given us a solution. After the new gutter system is installed we have been assured that the cable can be tucked in behind the new gutter. we will see!!!In the beginning I was told that I would have to pay a fee for dish to come out. I have the protection plan and all reps need to check that first before quoting a fee. When I challenged the fee I was transferred to another rep and then another but finally got it worked out.The dish team this time was excellent. They were very friendly and easy to work with. David and Mark were super. In the future if we have any issues we hope to work with them again.

I lost my TV in my living room

I lost my TV in my living room and a tech Matthew Clark arrive at 4:00pm. He found my problem and rewired to my TV and at 8:30PM had me up and running. He is such a delightful young man worth his weight in gold. Dish has an AWESOME employee, you can be very proud of him. Thanks Matt

I love dish Network but I do not like…

I love dish Network but I do not like watching commercials on demand I pay you money not to watch commercials and when I'm watching a movie on demand and it won't let me fast-forward through the commercials really pisses me off

I absolutely love Dish!!

I absolutely love Dish!!! They are way more advanced than Direct, or any other... I love the features of being able to talk to the remote, and being able to get Netflix, and now Amazon Prime on here as well.. . Well done Dish

Switched from DirecTV to Dish Network…

Switched from DirecTV to Dish Network wish I didn't. You cannot use on demand without internet. Have had nothing but problems out of one of Joey's. Took more money out money out of account after they say they were notand that we are paid up. Do not get all the channels that they said I would have. Was told I can make arrangement for bill just call back at a later date. They straight up and lied. They suck point blank.

I have been a dish customer for years

I have been a dish customer for years. I have been with them for many changes as well as diffulty with certain channels being lost etc. I have called several times. I have dealt with .any customer service reps. I am usually transferred several times to different reps. When I asked why this is I was told that the rep that I am first given too does not know anything about the topics I need to talk with them about. I accepted there answer s d know I am going to be on hold several times. Until today! I called wanting to update personal information , equipment updates ,billing changes questions about the loss of a local channel I also could not access there website. Juan id #USK he is the best rep I have had the pleasure of dealing with! He answered ever question I had he updated my personal information set me up so I can get my equipment updated. He offered me a free antenna so I could receive my local channels while they were in negotiations. He gave me a phone number to call and let the local channels how I feel about how much they want customer's to pay for there channel because we are dish customers. When they are free mandated by the federal government. After he had helped me with everything I told him I couldn't access the my dish app. He stayed on the phone and walked me through it! When he wD done walking me through the app and I was logged in he had me log out and he stayed on the phone with me while I logged back in to make sure that I wouldn't have any problems! I went to there website trying to reach out to them to tell them about this employee went beyond anyone else I have ever dealt with I was told I would get a survey by email still hasn't happened and I cannot find anywhere on there websites where I can tell them this man should be acknowledged for his professionalism his patients and how he went beyond anyone else I have dealt with sisnce becoming a dish customer over 5 yes ago! Customer service has been 5 star from day one. We have had them for 10 years, live fairly rural and have loved them from the start. They listen, try to help with honesty and have very knowlegdeable staff to work things out with.

I scheduled a tech to come fix an issue 3.5 weeks ago. Today I made sure my schedule allowed me to be here for the service call between 2 & 4Pm. At 3:55 DISH called to say there was a problem. Too.an "call outs" today. They could not come. I am beyond angry. Apparently my time isn't worth much to them. "Call to reschedule."

took off an accidental charge

My mother in law has dish and she is elderly. She got confused with the remote and accidentally ordered wrestle programs that were pay per view. $100 worth. I called them an explained the situation to them they transferred me to the loyalties department (i think that is what they called it) and they took the charges off and helped me set up the tv so that would not happen again. I really appreciated it.

Just ok!

Ok, here we go, first of all, you won't get 2000hrs of hd out of dvr, you can get that at a lesser quality, however, i have never been able to figure out how to change that quality. I do like the interface better than direct tv, and being able to record 16 things at once is great, you may never use all, but you will never have recording conflicts, which was almost a daily occurrence for me with direct. Something that may be a downside for a lot of people is, with dish, your package only includes 3 tvs, direct offers 4. The biggest issue right now is dish has lost fox, direct lost cbs, dish is offering an antenna to receive local channels, however, with this you will only be able to record 2 shows at once, and will no longer be able to record primetime anytime, which is an option to record the major networks nightly lineup every night automatically, in case you forget to record something or whatever. This was dish's offer to make up for losing fox. Direct completely restructured their packages to make up for losing cbs, and have dropped their rates considerably. Also, a while ago dish lost hbo, now, if you want hbo, or fox, the best option i have found is to purchase google chromecast, and use the hbonow app, and foxnow app to cast from your phone. Easy enough for some, but i imagine there are probably a few million people who will have difficulty doing this. Chromecast is generally between $40-$70 you hook it through hdmi input on tv, phone and tv must be on same wifi, you have to switch between inputs to watch, so, you can see why some may have difficulty. The biggest problem i have with all these companies is, like your cell phone, these companies are all paid by others to carry their apps and such, tv stations are paid by commercials, but then we have to pay them again!
