Incredible Valentines day shopping experience

I must first apologise for delaying in writing this review as my shopping experience took place on Valentines day.I decided to shop at Harrods because my fiancé loves the store and we had a great time together when visiting it during Christmas. The decorations were abundant, yet tasteful and very beautiful. The vibes were very positive overall, so that encouraged me to come back. The first person I would like to praise is Tia who works in the gift shop. My fiancé had her eye on a gorgeous shopping bag in the gift shop so I went back and looked for it. I wasn't satisfied with the floor model so Tia took the time to find me the freshest one from the storage room. She was very friendly, polite and helpful.Next I made my way to the bookshop where Anna helped me navigate the shop and later the massive department store itself, and helped me find what I needed. She was incredibly polite, professional and attentive.I then set off to the florist where the ladies there listened to what I needed and made helpful recommendations. Bethany even went out of her way and set off somewhere to find some orange roses that I was looking for. Ultimately, I went with another flower that she suggested. A beautiful peach coloured rose that wowed my fiancé and stayed in bloom for a month.I was very pleased with my whole experience on a very busy day at that. I want to thank all the ladies for their professionalism and hard work that made that possible.

This store has made me happy

This store has made me happy, made me cry, given me memories for my family to Cherish from when they were babies to grown-ups, my highlight was meeting Rod Stewart with my now 22-year old daughter when she was six, to a Harrods egg warmer for my mum on a school trip, to now a bottle of Dom Perignon, i love you Harrods and my name is Sharod ❤

Straight forward and prompt service

Not sure why all the negative reviews. Placed an order first time online and was worried after I read the reviews but can honestly say the service was fast and efficient. Placed an order on Wednesday and received it via Dpd on Thursday morning. I had a query so when I called customer service the staff member was friendly and willing to help. Order was wrapped in harrods paper and packed securely so not a problem. Thank you harrods for the good experience.

The store itself is brilliant

The store itself is brilliant. They stock some wonderful brands and some really unique items. The prices are not competitive its considerably cheaper in Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges. However you get a premium level of service in Harrods that's second to none. The staff are friendly attentive and very helpful although sometimes a little pushy. They are on commission. If you go on weekday it can be quite quiet which is nice. I always stop by whenever I am in in London. With all this in mind I am afraid to say the online experience is poor. I made an order for some Christmas presents and it did not go well. For some reason they did not put my full address on the parcel. I double checked and they definitely had my full address on the order confirmation. There were absolutely no mistakes on my part. so something clearly went wrong. Without the full address Parcel force did not attempt the delivery on the day my parcel was due. I had to call Parcel force directly and give them my details so they could redo an address label. If I had not phoned them to find out why they failed the delivery they would of eventually just sent the parcel back to Harrods. Having to phone Parcel Force was time consuming and very frustrating. Furthermore Harrods charges an expensive £5.95 for standard delivery and its not particularly quick either so there really is no excuses for mistakes. The reason I chose Harrods was because I did not want any hassle or stress regarding this important Christmas delivery. They let me down on this occasion. Taking everything into consideration I would be nervous to use their online shop in the future. Such mistakes really are unacceptable. My order could of potentially ended up at the wrong address.

Prefer to have been given options re out of stock items

Bought my pram here in the sale, was the best deal around, however I also purchased the adapters for my car seat but was notified the next day that these were not in stock and were refunded. This was a little disappointing as I would have preferred to have been given the option to wait for them. However updates and refund were given very quicky.
