The customer support was amazing for me

The customer support was completely and absolutely amazing! The BEST support I have received in a very long time. I contacted them on Twitter Hootsuite Spanish. I was incredibly worried and stressed but the guy that attended me, Fernando, helped me and handled the situation perfectly, replied fast, very caring, and cordial. A plus is that he helped me in my native language (Spanish) and helped me to calm down.

GST charged separately (not mentioned in initial pricing)

EDIT: Hootsuite has since refunded the full $514.80 since I was only two days past the cancellation date, hence why I have amended my star rating. Thank you Hootsuite for being flexible in your policy and prompt with your replies.ORIGINAL: While I enjoy the ability to schedule posts ahead of time, I tried out the Pro Plan, missed the cancellation date by 2 days, and was subsequently charged AU$514.80 (instead of the advertised $468). When I emailed them about this, a representative replied that this was due to GST being added onto the total price (which is pretty unusual for products in my experience).There's no mention on the Professional pricing page about this. If you click through from the Pro pricing page and start a 30-day free trial (as I did), you never see any mention about GST being charged separately. This seems very manipulative, especially since $514.80 is a significant amount of money.*I will say that the representative replied in under 2 hours, which was nice.

Great customer service

Following my 1* review Hootsuite got in touch, completely resolved the issue AND authorised an immediate refund of the full amount they had charged me. Taking that all into account, and the speedy way in which they helped me I have changed my review to 5*Thanks for listening Hootsuite! DONT DO ITI cancelled this last year and they have just taken another £360 out of my account... they dont offer a refund and dont have a refund policy!Tried contacting them and have had no response whatsoever. Live chat doesnt work....All in all an exerience not worth doing - expensive, no customer service and they take your money whether you cancel or not...Come on Hootsuite - sort this out!!

I have been using Hootsuite for 5 or 6…

I have been using Hootsuite for 5 or 6 years and of course I never really have needed to use their support but Magdina did a great job of resolving my issue and turning a negative back into a positive. I thank her for her service and Hootsuite for their understanding and solving my problem.

Very good experience overall

Wanted to use the platform more but it wasn't for me. My free trial ran out and automatically paid for a year sub, customer service took a little while to get back to me but fully refunded my account, no questions asked. Very happy with how they handled the situation when I was at fault.

Try other cheaper social media tools

Although it's always the #1 SM tool, i can't recommend this because it's not user friendly. The view is too crowded and sometimes posting fails especially for Instagram.

I like Hootsuite a lot but

I like Hootsuite a lot, but, the pricing model forces an organization to jump from $19 - $99 per month with no in-between options. Highly uncool and unfair to organizations trying to build their business.

Easy to use, free and the only good thing my former PA ever did!!

Hootsuite was recommended to me by a former PA in 2014 and it was the only good recommendation or action she ever did (hence why she's "former")It's ideal if you post on facebook, twitter, LinkedIn (only until June 2017 after which time LinkedIn will no longer be compatible) as you can schedule posts weeks in advance and one post can be put on all portals, subject to their individual word count. You can add images or videos and though I would like to have an italics button to emphasise words, that may not be transferable to each portal which may explain why it's not offered.I have used customer services a few times and they've always got back to me speedily and have efficiently resolved any issues, so that alone is 5* from me. I have really enjoyed using Hootsuite as it saves time and energy writing posts once then posting en-masse so for anyone using multi-social media portal, it's a must. The fact it's free to have a basic account is a real bonus too.
