Stayed in Skegness recently
Me and my husband just had a term time holiday with my four year old twins, baby and my mother. We stayed in Gold Apartments with premium dining. The walk from check in to our apartments was a long one, it's unfortunate that there isn't two places to check in either side of the white tent. We got to our apartment at about 3:30 to find that they weren't done cleaning. Okay fine, I get that people being off sick isn't something you can plan for and stuff happens. The staff member let us in anyway whilst he cleaned, for him to tell us at 3:45 that he is going now and everything isn't done but he finishes at 4 so someone else will take over. Okay. The next person came in and said she's coming back as we need bed linen, I mentioned we also don't have the travel cot we ordered so she said she will get someone on that. It's 4:30 by the time everything was done.It was good that the staff were so in touch with her, but you can't imagine the stress of having four year old twins wanting to go out and a baby that wasn't settled and waiting for this to be finished. We couldn't go out as we were worried something wouldn't be done so had to wait.The holiday:The holiday was great, the queues were a bit insane for the tots disco and a couple of other things, we missed this because there was only one lift?? Baby is very young so we couldn't really hold him throughout it and dance with the twins.Fairground was very fun and so was the pool. Entertainment in the tent was decent. Premium Dining Plan: I enjoyed the food, but for the money we paid I honestly expected better. The variation over the four days didn't feel like much and the tiny drinks you get out the drinks machines are poor. It caused people to constantly have to go back up which caused queues round the machines. Apart from a few hitches, we enjoyed our holiday so much that we've booked to go back again.

Holiday was great at butlins minehead. But brown water coming out of bath room taps, also had a shower nearly flooded because the people who had used it before us filled it with sand, twice we had to get the plumber

Went to Butlins Minehead with our friends, a total of 4 adults, 5 children and a baby.Accomodation was clean and adequate, food was good and staff were friendly and helpful.Facilities were great and we will definitely be back next year.

Skegness 60's weekend
Went to Skegness 60s weekend for the first time we all had an amazing weekend, the accomodation was excellent, very clean and warm. Beds very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The acts were amazing we enjoyed every minute of it. Very good value for money. Booked again for next year because it was brilliant.

We usually go to Butlins Minehead
We usually go to Butlins Minehead. We decided we would like to try a hotel so we chose Bognor Regis and stayed in the Shoreline hotel. We were not disappointed. The site is very well maintained. Staff very polite and helpful. The Shoreline Chef made my Daughter a Birthday cake which was divine. The Shoreline team were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. At Minehead staff seemed to be rushed due to being a bigger resort and it wasn't such a personal experience.

Excellent service at Butlins Skegness
We visited Butlins Skegness this weekend, I've been many times with my partner and two daughters and always had a great family break away, however on this particular visit it was brought to my attention how absolutely caring and genuine their staff are. The resort itself has been modernised over the years and has a great level of cleanliness and service, we stayed in a sliver apartment which was, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a self catering weekend.The range of entertainment from Pantos, funfair, arcades, shows, live performances and swimming is excellent quality and amazing value for money.On this particular visit my 9 year old daughter asked to go on the High Ropes, I was a little uncertain about letting her but she was keen and sounded confident that she could do it. My daughter suffers hugely with Anxiety, which means she is very reserved and unconfident, so in hopes that she builds on these areas I paid the £10 for her to have the experience in hopes that she gains from it.She was smiling when getting in her safety harness but once she got up the top in her group of 8 she froze and couldn't step out onto the High Rope course, I was standing watching from the ground as she shook with fear and tears rolled down her cheeks. Jordan her instructor had a large group but could see that Anneli needed more help and that she was scared. I watched him talk to her, ask her name and calmly give her options about the course, he encouraged her to face her fears and just take the first step forward, which after about 8 minutes of him encouraging her and me shouting up to her that she could do it and that she was safe she finally did. Jordan was running around the course keeping all the kids going and then running back to my daughter to check she was ok and giving her reassurance. After about another ten minutes she kept getting more confident, she was still shaking and looked relieved when she reached all the safe points. She was about half way around the course when Luke took over as her instructor and after about 2 minutes of making himself look silly to cheer her up he had her smiling and really enjoying the experience. She basically had one to one attention from both Luke and Jordan the whole hour+ that she was on the High Ropes! She could not have done it without their help, they were kind, considerate, empathetic, happy employees who went over and above what I had expected.... I paid £10 for this experience and got value for money that I have never experienced before. I'm truly grateful to both Jordan and Luke at the Skegness resort for the excellent experience that they provided. Watching my daughter face her fears made me a very proud mother and they made that happen.I would 100% recommend Butlins at Skegness and also the High Ropes experience.

Not spectacular.
Generally very good, beds far too uncomfortable, woke up in pain all the time I was there. Shower screen ineffective when having a shower, too much over spill from the shower causing floor to flood. Room service inconsistent, some folded towels, some didn't, some made the beds well some were very sloppy, some washed and replaced mugs others didn't. Our remote control went missing and was only resolved by complaining twice to reception.Splash waterworlds, very fun but looks very unclean and dated unfortunately, I don't think it has been updated atleast in the last 10 years. Discoloured floors in both the pool and and the pool area extremely unappealing.Quality of food at the shoreline hotel restaurant cannot be faulted, the ingredients are obviously of the highest quality and the chefs cooks up some amazing tasting dishes so well done for that, staff are very friendly too. Before I booked I asked about halal, they said that's not an issue just let the hotel know, when I got there they told me I had to speak to the chef, when I did he told me i should have notified them before I arrived (which I did) but now be will see what he can source on a daily basis, and had to speak to him, this was a pain, chicken however was halal in all cases so I was OK.Entertainment, very very good for children, however you need to queue or sit at the venue very early, there's just too many people. The trip would have been even better for me if there was entertainment at the hotel for guests only.Resort clean, litter patrol evident and busy. Not all staff friendly, the none customer facing ones seem miserable (the manual labour people) I was trying to find a parking spot so was going slow I could see the man who was pulling the bins along on his buggy getting annoyed and waving his arms about

Great holiday stay
My dad (71), myself (48) and my 10-year-old son had a week-long break at Skegness Butlins during the school holidays in August and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.Our chalet was fabulous, newly redecorated and with plenty of equipment, although we took the food dining package as I am registered disabled. There was plenty to do during the three full days we had on site and we also took in a visit to the circus, which was brilliant.The resort itself was spotless, the swimming complex was clean and tidy and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
