BEST GIFT EVER!

Over the years, I have ordered 10+ books. They are always amazing. When my kids graduated from high school and college, I made them books of photos they had posted on their facebook & instagram. I have made books of vacations and family events. The shipping is quick and everyone I have given them to have declared them to be the best gift ever. Once, I even misspelled a word and they fixed it. If you want to share a moment, photos, or an event with someone this is the way to go. The books are great and the company's staff is amazing and willing to work with you or help you if you need it.

I have done two orders

I have done two orders, making 7 books so far. I was a little worried because I saw some people didn't receive their orders and had no luck with customer service. So for my first order I only did one book, but it came, so on my next order I did 5 books. I have luckily received both orders on time, but I am still nervous for future orders. Overall, I think it's a good service. I wasn't able to find any others that would let me print my Facebook photos and posts that I wanted to save so easily. The cons: - Not very customizable. You can pick the cover color, and it is supposed to let you select the photos for the cover, but it has been glitching for me. I was able to change the photos on cover of the first book I ordered but it won't save for any of the others, so I am reliant on whatever photos the algorithm picks and have to refresh a lot until it gives me ones I like. Since it's for the cover, it would be nice if this was more easily edited and customizable.You can de-select which photos and posts you don't want so they don't show up in the book, but that's about the extent of customizability. You can't pick sizes or order of photos or posts, or which photos you want emphasized. It also doesn't print comments or tagged photos. Only stuff you personally put on your page. So if you are tagged in a lot of fun photos uploaded by someone else, they won't show in your book.Some photos or silly posts you don't care about get used multiple times in the book. You cannot preview the whole book, so there is no way to vet or quality control for these little things. You need to be very thorough when de-selecting posts and then just hope for the best. - The site is glitchy and very basic. It's not easy to save your work unless you put it in your cart, but even then it doesn't always save right. So once you have your book how you want you kind of need to order it right away because it's a gamble if it will have saved in your cart for you to order later. This also makes it difficult to make all your books at once and then order one or two at time as your can afford them, because if you take it out of your cart it's just gone. It's not like other photo book sites where you can get back to it again later or save your progress it's cart or nothing. - The no save option also means you cant reorder books, so if you want multiple copies for whatever reason, you have to do it when you order the first time. If you want another copy after your order you basically have to recreate it as best you can from step one, since it relies on the algorithm to generate the book but doesn't actually save a copy of your book. - Double check your details before you final order. I had selected all hardcover books, but it reverted me to basic softcover books when I applied a discount code and I didn't realize the change until after my order arrived. So now I have 1 hardcover and 5 softcover books... It's not a huge deal, but the books are expensive and I really would have preferred hardcover. I can't reorder them hardcover due to the not saving issue and also the expense, so I am stuck with softcover now. Which is really disappointing to me. Also the cover of one was crinkled in the corner when it arrived, which never would have happened to a hardcover.-After you order and even after you have received your order, on the website it doesn't update the status of the order. Orders I have already received say "order is being prepared". Over all, if you go into it knowing that the site is glitchy I think it's fine to use, but if you are used to sites like Shutterfly that are much more polished and high functioning, it could be frustrating to use mysocialbook.

Miss placed photo issue

I ordered my first book in December 2019 and loved it. Decided to order another this month and found an issue I needed assistance with. There was a photo of my husband and I with Mickey Mouse that appeared on the first inside sheet of the book & also on the multiple photo page when you opened the cover. This photo wasn’t in my Facebook postings for the period of time the book was being made from. I wrote several emails asking for assistance. I also called. Sadly, there wasn’t any reply. I ordered the book yesterday anyway, because the rest of it appeared to be fine. I would of loved to have had some assistance in resolving this issue.

Awesome product, but poor customer service

This was my first time I ordered a product on MSB. I chose the premium hardcover and opted for fast shipping (tracking). The intended delivery time was 5 days. After not receiving any shipping confirmation in the days that followed, I started becoming a bit suspicious and that's also when I found out about the (poor) reviews on Trustpilot. I couldn't reach any customer service to ask for the latest status on my order, not by email (non-deliverable), or by other channels (messenger, FB). Simply no response.A few days later (than the intended delivery date) I received the parcel and despite not being able to reach any customer service, I am very satisfied with the product itself. This is truly a unique product that is not available for order elsewhere on the internet.If the customer service would have been better, this would have well deserved 5 stars.

My book is beautiful

My book is beautiful. I paid for the hard cover and upgraded paper. I take the time to post quality photos on Facebook. If your photos are poor quality they will not look great in any photo book. I have purchased many yearly books and they all look good. I’m sad to see the comments are gone but that is due to Facebook restrictions. I can no longer access my videos with the barcode. Again- probably a Facebook restriction. Haven’t had to deal with customer service so can’t speak on their behalf. Happy New Year!

Poor results on the basic choice paper

Disappointed that pics are much darker and lacking in contrast than how originals look admittedly on an illuminated screen. They don't take responsibility for people submitting 'low resolution' pics whuch is understandable but presumably phone pics that look ok should come out ok. I did choose the basic paper but thought it would still be 'photopaper'. Most pics just look photocopied, dull and dark.
