Miss Ocado App

I've shopped with Ocado for over 10 years and it has always been a great experience. There's an excellent choice of produce and at exceptional quality. During these trying times Ocado has continued to deliver outstanding services. The delivery team have done an amazing job, always turning up with a smile and helpful within the remit of the guidelines.I do miss using the app, as I was able to add to my shoppoing during the week, without having to log onto Ocado.com. Hopefully during the coming few weeks normal service will resume soon, as the country gets back to some sense of normal - whatever that may be.

I love Ocado and couldn't do without it!

I love Ocado and couldn't do without them. I am not a keen shopper, and prefer to use online supermarkets, and Ocado is wonderful. The options are good, I almost always get everything I have asked for even in these difficult times, and the drivers are top notch, so kind, polite and wonderfully chatty. When they join forces with M&S it will be even better. Shame they don't do more fresh fish, but I like to support my local fishmongers so that's ok!

Delivery charges

Overall Ocado shop has been working well since going into lockdown. I have shopped with them for many years and am now shopping for two households (elderly neighbours). Having been a reserved slot customer I noticed for the last 4 deliveries on a Saturday evening I was being charged £ 6.99 for each time. I wrote to customer services only to be told that it is based on demand. Yet my relatives who have smart pass were able to get free delivery slots for Friday or Saturday? I just joined the Smart pass scheme and low and behold my Saturday slots are now free. Something fishy going on??? I do get that with the Smart pass you are supposed to have free deliveries. But please Ocado for the last 4 weeks being charged £6.99 for each delivery slot is unreasonable given the circumstances!!!

In the circumstances, Ocado are doing a pretty good job,

I'm surprised at reading posts from shortly before writing this, saying that people had experienced problems booking slots. Yes, it was erratic to start with, but I have got into a fairly regular rhythm of booking a slot for our shopping, which is for us and for elderly neighbours, without any problem and have just booked one which suits me. In these extraordinary times I think that Ocado are doing a pretty good job. Any substitutions are intelligently made and the drivers remain cheerful and polite despite the pressure they must be under.

Would've done 5 stars but they…

Would've done 5 stars but they delivered plain Rachel's yoghurt for a raspberry one. My family won't touch it - any brand of any fruit yoghurt would have been preferable. Also, for 3 weeks running now we've had to throw away the avocados. They've either never ripened, or arrive soft and rubbery in the middle - like they've been forced or something. Inedible, basically. That said, we're grateful for the deliveries, the delivery people are always so nice.

Kept me fed through lockdown

Kept me fed through lockdown, thanks to Ocado I never ran out of anything. I can get products I haven't found anywhere else. Bargains on sales sometimes. Easy to get refunds when needed. Customer service has gone downhill a bit but still mostly good.

Only complaint is over Smart Pass

After some long waits initially my deliveries are pretty well back to normal now and I have no complaints. However I have had to have deliveries on weekends and Fridays which are out of the Smart Pass accepted days. I’ve paid for the Smart Pass but have had to pay several surcharges because of the delivery days over which I’ve had no choice.
