Processed refund without any difficulties

Fair play to the Mercure Hotel team at Berlin Airport. Our hotel had closed because of the Covid-19 situation and we were worried about getting our money back given that we had a non-amendable booking and a lot of people seem to have been struggling to get refunds from Accor. However, the hotel contacted me without prompting 2 weeks before our booking to confirm that they were cancelling the booking and giving us a full refund. They fully refunded the money a few days later, as promised. Whether or not Accor have changed their policies as a result of a backlash from customers, I'm not sure but it's an approach like this that will definitely make me stay with them again once all the disruption is over, whereas had they refused a refund I probably wouldn't use them again. Thanks for your udnerstanding and processing the refund so quickly.

Whilst not on par with marriott for Covid-19 policies, cancelled flight meant a refund.

Whilst not on par with marriott for their Covid-19 cancellation policies, after my flights were cancelled I was able to get refunds at sofitel and banyan tree Malaysia. I needed to share evidence that the flight was cancelled, not sure what I'd have to do if flight wasn't cancelled, possibly resort to insurance... I've thoroughly enjoyed previous stays at hotels within the group, look forward to future stays.

Impeccable presentation and facilities

I stayed at the Novotel in Reading numerous times and never had any complaints.The place was always spotless and impeccably presented.Staff were professional, slightly bordering on clinical, but pleasant overall and ideal for business groups.The executive rooms came with added amenities such as bath robes, slippers and an espresso coffee machine. There was also a mini fridge stocked with still and sparkling water.The hotel also housed meeting room facilities and a gym.Definitely a hotel chain to choose for a romantic weekend away or important business guests.

The team at Novotel and Accor have been really helpful in processing a refund as I can no longer travel due to Covid-19. They replied to my email within a few days and were very understanding of the current situation.
