Covid 19

Covid 19 . Due to fly 17th March to dubai on 15th I sent a few customer support requests asking about the uae visas been stopped and to ask if I could change my dates. Got a reply we have cancelled your holiday at your request on the 16th I never requested this.now what !!!! Emirates rang me from airport to see where I was the next morn at 4.30am so did my taxi driver . Sent numerous emails and customer requests about 15 in total n every1 was ignored. I understand the pandemic put the world on hold about 5 week later I was sent a choice of refund or credit note phew thank god it was refunded on 5th may . We read all fb comments and they cancelled all holidays on 16th .they should have just sent a automated email instead mine looked like I'd done it when I hadn't. Apart from the lack of communication over 7weeks which as been nil I'm happy I have my refund . Would book again now as the lady who sold me dubai was lovely and helpful .

Yeah like everyone else impossible to get in touch with TR no luck with emails either..I've had email today saying my refund will be in my bank 3 -5 working days i do lose my priority boarding and allocated seats i paid for maybe my insurance will sort that ... ive used TR few times and this is first problem I've had covid 19 has brought the world to a stand still so is understandable just could of had more information and a reply to the odd email would been nice....

I had booked a holiday to Tenerife with…

I had booked a holiday to Tenerife with Travel Republic travelling out in March. I have been using them often over a number of years and always found them very good. Due to covid situation I was concerned about going. I forwarded a number of e mails expressing my concerns on the days leading up to my travel date. Due to the very exceptional times I was disappointed that I was unable to converse with anyone but on speaking to my insurance company they explained even they could not deal with the volume of calls. I decided to give Travel Republic a chance and wait as per their advice on the web site that,when they were able to do so, they would deal with outstanding matters. At the start of May I got an e mail that they would be refunding my money as requested. This they have now done. I have been very impressed with how they have dealt with me in these exceptional times and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Well done Travel Republic and thank you.

We had several trips booked this year including trip to Poland, a cruise and trip to Spain unfortunately all were cancelled.Travel Republic booked our hotel in Poland.They kept us informed and have been the first company to refund the cost beating BA and P&O.

Had a holiday booked at the end of March. Obviously that didn’t happen due to Corona virus travel restrictions. Communication from me to TravelRepublic was not responded to. HOWEVER, the company kept me up to date with the refund process. This morning the full amount of my holiday cost was credited back into my credit card. Excellent excellent service. Well done TR! Hope that the company manages to get through the next few months and will thrive once again in the future.

Refund just received

Just received a refund £ 1673.85 for flight, hotel and transport to NYC. After so many contacts by emails and phone calls it was quite nice surprise to see this refund on my bank account.We supposed to travel 21/03-29/03 so we were in first slots of refunds. Lets hope that rest of the customers who are waiting for theirs refunds will get money back soon and delays getting a refund can be put on current situation.

Just received an e-mail yesterday from travel republic for refund for £899.95, checked my bank just before and it is there. We had booked a hotel in costa adeje on 30/1/20, to travel on 22/3/20. We paid A few small amounts, with a large balance of £800 paid on 7/3/20, one week before it was cancelled. Had raised a couple of CSR but otherwise no contact from them. They then sent a breakdown of refunds dates, according to when customers would have been due to travel. Our hotel stay being 22/3/20, fell into the first week they would be paying refunds for, in date order. Was doubtful as had already had an absolute nightmare getting a refund off tui (which we did eventually receive last week after a 7 week wait for flight only). Travel republic refunded without any arguments albeit no contact either.

Good Service

I have used Travel Republic many times but this is the first time I needed to cancel my holiday (due to Covid-19). We had a holiday to Italy booked for June. Our Ryanair flights were paid upfront with Travel Republic but the payment for the hotel and transfer were due to be taken from my card at the end of May. I raised a Customer Request through their website at the beginning of April and after three weeks had a communication from them and within 8 hours had everything sorted. I received email confirmation that I had cancelled the hotel and transfer. The flight has not been cancelled by Ryanair yet therefore we are not due a refund until that happens. I paid a €40 cancellation fee which I assume is an administration cost. With the volume of requests I am sure they are receiving at the moment, I think they have dealt with my booking very efficiently.

COVID Cancelled Package Holiday

We had a package holiday booked for May cancelled due to COVID, Travel Republic initially issued a credit note, but it did come with instructions on how to request a refund - which was reasonably easy via the website, at no point did they try to make out like we were not entitled to the cash back for our package holiday unlike some other unscrupulous firms. After raising a ticket via their website for a refund about 2 weeks ago they have since issued an email today with some information on when they will be processing refunds, approx 7 weeks after the date we were due to fly. So whilst the refund will take about 2.5 months instead of the 2 weeks the regulations state it could be a lot worse - I will be keeping tabs to make sure they follow through! There are a lot worse travel companies out there who are refusing to give the money back for over 12 months...

Fantastic handling of refunds

Been using travelrepublic for about 5 years and have always found them really good .But that saying nothing has gone wrong before,was due to travel end of March and flights got cancelled due to coronavirus 2 days before. Just recieved a credit note from travelrepublic for flights and accommodation the communication was a bit slow but under the circumstances you can understand this .The refund was dealt with sooner than expected .Thanks travelrepublic you've gone up in my estimation

Twice the issue and twice handled perfectly.

I’ve been using Travel Republic for a few years now and they’re nothing but wonderful. Last year upon Thomas Cook’s administration, they contacted us the following morning and refunded our money within 48 hours. Again, with the COVID-19 pandemic, our honeymoon was cancelled. It took longer this time (quite understandably) but after issuing a credit note (with the option to apply for a refund), within an hour they emailed back to confirm that we would receive a full refund to our original payment method! They’ve always been super helpful and wonderfully priced too. Cannot wait to book my next getaway with them when all of this has passed!

We came back from Side last week and it was a stressful time with all the Covid 19 pandemic. We were grateful that we booked with Travel Republic. We were contacted the first day we arrived to make sure everything was okay with the hotel. We were then contacted by Travel Republic again and again during the crisis with airport closing and hotel shutting down to make sure if they help us with anything possible.
