inaccurate color depicted
I recently ordered a bookshelf which had both wood and metal which appeared black in the picture. When it came, it was more like platinum/nickel/dime silver. The description read "dark antique metal." The rep basically said I should have looked at the reviews to see the real color, which I think is sad that I would have to do that if it's a website I thought to be reputable. The actual color should be clear in the pictures and descriptions. No excuse. They did offer to waive return shipping or discount the item if I decided to keep it, but I find the process wasteful and easily avoidable and lost trust in this company, especially after I took the rep's advice on reviews and ended up realizing that I could have bought the exact same item from WALMART. Actually most of what I saw on Wayfair can be bought at Walmart, often for much less.

I purchased a vanity from Wayfair recently. The customer service was excellent when I was shorted a screw set. Also the discount for a 1st time customer was nice. So customer service rocked.BUT. The vanity looks very little like the pic. It's a gray flat paint...boring. Not shiny like the ad!! The pics made it look really nice. In reality, it's an overpriced piece based on the look and very disappointing. Also the assembly directions were bad...I could have written much better myself. Lastly, the vanity was supposed to have a hook up for charging devices. It does not! Not a good buy.Thus 3 stars for good customer service only. I won't purchase from them again unless they refund half my money for this purchase.UPDATE! WAYFAIR DID NOTHING ABOUT THE FALSE ADVERTISING ON THE FINISH OF THE VANITY, OR THE LEFT SIDE CUPBOARD THAT CAME ASSEMBLED THAT WILL NOT CLOSE ALL THE WAY!! They offered me a 10% discount if I want to spend more money with them. They expect me to find a way to return this heavy unit and something to pack it in all by myself despite me being physically disabled. AND they expect ME to pay freight on their shipment TO me AND back to them. I am soo dissapointed. The finish on the vanity is a flat drab gray, nothing like the pictures. The cabinet door will NOT stay closed. Their is NO connections to charge devices as advertised. And I'm supposed to find a way to pack this, transport this and pay for freight both ways?!I'll be posting many reviews and posting on social media sites

First Time and Not the Last
This was my first experience buying from Wayfair. I ordered a table and received it within a week. Unfortunately, the tabletop was slightly damaged in one corner. I filled out a form online, and a week later, I received a whole new table replacement, free of charge, no questions asked! Instead of just sending me the part I needed, they sent an entirely new table all together, which I feel was very generous. I am very pleased with their customer service.

I love love love Wayfair. I’m shocked to see negative reviews for Wayfair. I literally have decorated my entire home with Wayfair. When I ever had a problem I could get ahold of an agent immediately and they always made it right. I guess people come here to complain but I can’t say enough amazing things about it.

I ordered the Menachem accent mirror…
I ordered the Menachem accent mirror during corona lockdown. It took a few days longer than expected but had frequent updates on delivery. It arrived shattered. I contacted Wayfair. They said no need to return. Just send a photo. I did and they promptly sent another one. Also shattered. I called customer service to cancel my order and refund. I was disappointed because the mirror was perfect for my place. Their customer service was outstanding. I went from enraged to satisfied. They refunded half the cost and shipped a third one. But this time it was shipped HOME DELIVERY which is how it should have been previously. I had read online that others had received this item broken. This is the first time I have ordered from them. But for their customer service I would have given them a 0. But I am so happy with my mirror and the follow up I am glad to share my experience. My customer service person was Karina.

I Love Wayfair
I saw this online with all of these negative reviews and I felt compelled to write about my positive experiences. My whole house is practically Wayfair. I love the store and their service. I have purchased chairs, chests, lamps, a large art desk/bookshelf, a hutch, and many more items including small kitchen appliances. If I have a problem with an item, they take care of it. My hutch came in damaged. The guys unloading it told me there was a problem. They took it back. I contacted Wayfair and they were awesome. They sent me a new one. When I have had difficulty with something they usually give me a rebate back to cover any annoyance! I have used their 0% interest delayed payment, like 6 or 12 months interest free, and everything works fine. I schedule my payment through my bank and have never had an issue with my payment. Wayfair is my go to place. I have purchased gifts for other people. I have spent literally thousands of dollars through Wayfair and I have found them to be awesome to deal with. You must pay attention to whether an item is assembled or not and know whether you want to put it together or not. The only item I would not purchase through Wayfair again is the bed I bought. While it is a great bed with a big brand name, I found it too sloppy to sit on because it has a soft mattress. Beds I have decided should be purchased in a store. That bed I put in a guest room just because of the sitting issue. It is an excellent bed but I would have purchased a slightly firmer one if I been able to sit on it! I have found Wayfair products to be very good. Every lamp I have is gorgeous! I use an instant pot type small appliance weekly and it has been excellent and reliable! This has been my experience..all very positive. Many people come to my home and comment on my furniture. I have also purchased beautiful rugs. Most of my purchases have been made in the last two years since I retired from teaching art and moved to my home on a lake! I have also found that they have so much to choose from that I can satisfy my eclectic creative personality! So, don’t believe all of these negative reviews. I am someone that has purchased an ungodly number of items. The only disappointment I had was with a third party person that was to assemble two pieces. That part was a nightmare but even with that Wayfair refunded the assembly fees and took more money off my order! Unless you live in a big city, I wouldn’t use the handyman assembly thing because they tend to change dates and are not unreliable!

WAYFAIR is the first vendor we check for home needs
we have purchased over 20 items - large (entertainment center) to small (towels) within the last 3 months. not only are the products exactly as expected, the delivery is outstanding.most products are delivered free and for large items the delivery team puts the furniture in the room of choice, unpacks it, ensures it is exactly what we expected and calls in a confirmation with his manager. One item we received was slightly damaged and the delivery team assisted us with resolving the problem with Wayfair Customer Service on the spot. Very impressed with Wayfair customer service! I’ve ordered several things from Wayfair, and I’m usually satisfied. I recently ordered a book shelf for the girls room, and it was so cute online. Looked easy to put together. When I received it, it was much lower quality than I expected, flimsy, and just basically didn’t meet my expectations. The automatic return system online wanted to charge me nearly $60 to return the item, deducting that amount from my refund. I can’t even get the bookshelf apart because the screws are stripped in a couple of places. Long story short...I called, spoke with a very nice woman who was apologetic, and gave me a full refund without requiring me to return the shelf or even send photos. At the end of the day, even if the shelf wasn’t what I expected, I really appreciate a company that makes it’s customers feel valued.

The customer service was amazing. I am moving and was trying to buy a sofa with scheduled delivery. The first webstore I went to was terrible (Ashley) the difference between the two was night and day. I called Wayfair customer service to see if sofas were available for scheduled delivery (they are) and the customer service rep was able to place the order for me.
