Absolute Star!!
I travelled to the Isle of Wight and back via Wightlink from Portsmouth 2nd and 9th September. I found the facilities to be clean and well kept and all the staff to be poite, friendly and helpful, especially Leon in the Fishbourne office who helped me out late at night - he's an absolute star! :)

Good, reasonable ferry travel
Always had a good service on Wight link, prices not too bad, expect to pay more at busy times (about the same for any other business)Don't believe too many of the bad reviews on here, most of them come from a minority Facebook group campaigning for a tunnel to the Island!

Amending a booking due to Coronavirus
In a reply to another customer you have stated “For customers with non-refundable tickets we're allowing them to book for up to a year at no extra cost“.I have a booking soon that I would like to change to next year due to Coronavirus restrictions but your schedules online only go up to January so I cannot do this. Could you please let me know what I should do?

No problems on either car ferry or catamaran on either trip this year.
I travelled in April as a passenger in a friend's car who uses the service every fortnight, (I guess it can't be that bad if they want to move there)! I also travelled by catamaran in May and while I agree that it's not too cheap, I found it an enjoyable experience on both return trips. On each occasion staff were really helpful and aimable! In fact a couple of employees noticed that my friends had heavy luggage and offered assistance. No problems at all.

Overpriced, poor customer service and far too sure of themselves thats for sure
As a regular customer of Wightlink I feel strongly that their customer service has certainly left the building.These days I tend to use the Catamaran service more than the car ferry.Recently knowing I was short for time I ran the length of Ryde pier in the hope of catching the Catamaran.Arriving by their clock 3 minutes before time.The policy is that 2 minutes before boarding the gate will close.Fair enough,yet a young man leapt over the barrier and they let him on,me well i being older couldn't leap but was right behind him the gate was still open,but they refused to let me go on board.Ok so I had to wait another hour,but what really annoyed me was that when I tried to speak to the man who had let the young fella on,he walked off whilst I was speaking to him.Ok I waited the hour for the next boat.Then recently I wanted to take a car over.Fares were advertised at from £40.00 for a day return.I tried to book a low priced fare,knowing i had seen these fares on the website only a couple of days before.Now I am being quoted between £70-£90.00,I then took myself to the office,only to be told yes I thought the same thing.I sent a complaint,no response.I rang and spoke to someone more senior,he said well thats all there is.Yes I said but it says from £40.00 and I had seen that on your website only 2 days before,yes well there are only the expensive fares came the response.I sent another complaint and still no response.From Southampton RedFunnel are advertising fares at £37.50 and they are delivering that price.I would like very much to support my home town of Portsmouth.Yet I think Wightlink are too cocky by half and becoming seriously over priced.How do they expect the everyday person to visit family. Or people that need to work and use the ferry and their firm doesn't pay the fare.This cost of the service is crippling to people and some should put some thought into a fair service.I try hard to visit my Grandchildren as often as possible but the cost is proving to much and will limited how often I can now go over.

Great in an emergency
I am an islander who now lives on the mainland. I have had to get to the island quickly or delay departure owing to family emergency/bereavement on a number of occasions and they have been very sympathetic and made amendments without question or charge. This really helped at a difficult time and is much appreciated.

Very good service
Very good service. I went with my family and a car on a return trip, people were very helpful and polite. The ferry was very clean both ways and my child enjoyed being on the ferry too.Food and coffee service was good and there's enough seats for everyone.

Friendly, prompt and fast.
Just taking the fast cat to Ryde. Friendly staff, prompt departure and relaxed atmosphere. It is a world of difference and a cure for my train journey. I suggest they dump the Costa coffee partnership and get in a local company that can actually make coffee.
