Mixed feelings

Mixed feelings. I’m glad to have the box however. The prices keep getting higher and I still have to go pick it up and drop it off. So seem to be using amazon and Netflix more and more. The big thing for me is I have referred two friends for sure I watched use my code To sign up for redbox and rent movies that day and I never got my free movies. they didn’t want to sign up. So I was really helping both parties. Plus if you call for help the people On the other end act like they don’t understand English and can’t help you.

Bad customer service

After trying repeatedly to get into my Redbox account so I could rent a movie using Roku, I gave up. I have used Roku to watch a Redbox movie in the past. I tried to change my password and was sent a temporary password but that did not work. I tried calling customer service and the recording said there was a five minute wait. After 11 minutes I hung up. This company seriously needs to step up their customer service.

A good idea at first

It started off as a great replacement for Blockbuster and other brick and mortar stores that were closing up. Unfortunately their bargain prices have risen, and their guarantee of at least one free video a month has totally vanished. You're now lucky if you get one free video every 3 months. Virtually every text notice they send is a two-for-one deal or a measly $1 or less off a rental of two videos or one game.Another downside to Redbox is that if you're a movie lover you can pretty much forget about renting anything older than a few months. The only time you can hope to find an older film is if a remake or sequel happens to come out and Redbox wants to cash in on people wanting to view the original. Which means that if you really need to see something older you're pretty much stuck with Netflix or Amazon Prime, and I've often found many classics are only available for purchase or paid download. The best thing that can be said about Redbox is that their customer service is quite good and they immediately offer you a free code if you've misplaced one, it's expired, are you just weren't happy with the service or rental.

Again good concept but...

A good concept and replacement for the Blockbuster type stores with more convenient placement to home. The charges for 2 nights after 1 night and only till like 10 the next morning are ridiculous. You pay 1.50 for one night then 4 dollars comes out the next day. Not worth it. Ill rent from to cable company or buy it for myself at that price.
