Sixt Hire Dubai

Hired a car from Sixt in Dubai, it was my first time from them normally I would hire from Avis, and I must admit the service and experience was absolutely amazing. The staff onsite where exemplary and their knowledge of the area and cars was outstanding. I was given a brand new Mercedes CLS and it was immaculate, value for money and very convenient. I found the hire and return process very simple and easy and would recommend Sixt anytime.

New and upscale cars

I like Sixt because they tend to have newer and better cars in comparison to other rental companies. Everyone renting cars frequently should know that you never should accept anything offered by the counter agents and decline any additional insurances, paid upgrades, etc. etc. Just state very clearly that you don't want or need the upgrades, request a print-out of the costs or prepayment and you are good to go. Fill up the tank at the gas station nearby before return and take a picture after you parked the car to have evidence.

We hired a car from Paphos Town Cyprus, We first went into office and Katalina who we first saw in the office was very friendly and helpful, we booked on line but we were able to pay on pickup, which is a splendid idea as you can pay in cash if you may wish, The girl in the office that day ,whose name was Rada , was also very friendly and helpful, we went to the vehicle and did a thorough check and she even marked small scratches on the sheet. Sixt svolvaer - FANTASTIC

we rented a car from Sixt in Svolvaer (Norway) from 22-24 nov. We have rented from Sixt before in other countries and received ok service, not bad but nothing to write home about. On this occasion we were absolutely blown away by one individual (there was only one employee present) - August at Sixt svolvaer was the nicest, friendliest, most helpful person we have ever come across!! He called ahead to give us directions to the branch as we were arriving very late from a ferry (it was pitch black and very cold) so that we wouldn’t get lost and also had the car prepared and warmed up for us! He made the process so easy - I had forgotten to book windshield protection and he kindly let us know that in Norway, they use rocks instead of salt for grit in the winter! A good thing as well because he was very right! We ended up getting an upgrade as well which we can’t complain about. August made the process so quick and easy, stress free and I am so grateful as we were so exhausted and the last thing we wanted was any extra hassle. August also gave us some fantastic recommendations which we would have never thought of on our own - he truly embodies the qualities of excellent customer service and going the extra mile when he really didn’t have to (we were literally the last customers of the day). We brought the car back and it was August to server us again and he was also as helpful and friendly as the first time. We were again the last people of the day (9:30pm) and he didn’t huff or puff once (like they would in England or elsewhere if they have to stay a minute past their shift) and treated us with the utmost respect, warmth and genuinely cared about our experience. I hope the best for August - he really made our trip to Lofoten a success, renting a car can be stressful, and should be an example for customer facing staff everywhere. the bad reviews should not discourage you from Sixt in Svolvaer!! They are AMAZING.

Great customer service!!

Pick up easy. Drop off easy. Shuttle easy.I did have a small problem with my bill when I arrived home. The company took the time to read the emails I sent. They recognized the issue and refunded the error. When I first saw the charge I was like "should have went with a more familiar company". Well I was wrong. Im so happy with the whole experience.This is my new go to car renatal.Thank you Sixt!!

Inverness Airport.

Rented a car from Edinburgh to Inverness then another from Inverness for a few days. The staff at the Inverness office were really friendly and I felt the cared that everything was done properly. The shuttle service from the depot to the airport only took 3 min! Thank you to the girl in the smart uniform, Charlie and the nice man who recently got married, you were all very efficient and helpful.

Professional Services, Quality Vehicle & Value for Money ...

I hired a BMW 2 Series Convertible from Vienna, Austria for 6 Days. This is what my experience was...I picked up the Vehicle for Vienna Central Railway Station HBF on 12 Sep., 2019. The staff there was Professional & Courteous and answered all my queries as this was my first time to hire a vehicle in Europe. The vehicle was sparkling clean and the Quality was as good as new as it was less than 6 Months old. It was a pleasure to drive this vehicle for 6 days for about 1305 Kms and again returned the Vehicle back to the same place. I waited for 10 mins as I wanted them to check the Vehicle in my presence and all was fine. The procedure was smooth as the vehicle was handed back undamaged.Received the Invoice through Email and my Credit Card was debited with exact amount as Quoted for Rentals. In short it was a smooth, convenient transaction with a Professional Car Hire Company. Definitely using this service again and fully recommended.Note:A. I took the basic Insurance from Sixt and baught another Insurance from 3rd Party online as the difference in premium was huge.

I have to say this review may be a surprise to many as the reviews appear to be poor but it is what I experienced. I booked a Mercedes C Class with Sixt at Corvera Int Airport. On arrival about 2/3 people in the queue which compared to the snaking lines at the other rental companies was a relief. The Mercedes was not available which was fine as it was "or similar". The car we got was an Audi A5 S Line which I have to say was amazing, nearly new and perfect. I was on the road within 15 mins, we had no issues during the weeks stay and when I dropped it back I was welcomed by the same charming person who checked the car for me there and then and within 5 mins I was on my way. What on earth can I give other than 5 Star? Great service, wonderful upgrade and great staff. Perfect in every way

Actually good

My experience with Sixt was not perfect but good in the end.Branch: Olbia Airport Sardinia.I booked with them because they allow rental (in Italy) with a Maestro card, I don't have a real credit card and their prices were good for the cars they offered.I chose the cheapest model, Mini Cooper, and got it as promised. It was almost new it had great options and I loved it, my ecological driving behavior got me to an economical consumption of 3.8l. I paid 230 euros on the spot for 10 days (great deal), 0 euros prepaid and a 300 euros for the security deposit that I got back quickly. The man who showed me the car was really nice (understood the 30min we took to inspect the car), so was the one who received it at the end and congratulated us about how clean it was, inside and out.The bad part of my experience was my worrying. I started reading the avalanche of terrible reviews just before I left. I always take good care of the cars I rent, but there I went over the top and joked with my GF that I was turning into "Inspector Sixt". And inspector Sixt was paranoid and a pain the a... about every parking spot's safety and a real sand nazi. I was glad to leave that guy in Sardinia as we boarded our plane to fly home. The only bad thing I can really say about Sixt is that the counter lady (who was also nice) had to apply the sales technique of scaring me into buying the full coverage which costs more that the rental itself (260€ for a 230€ rental). The borderline legal aspect of it is that she said that my 1000€ limit of coverage was for each damage. She said 5 scratches on the car could cost me up to 5000€. That seems illegal to me and absurd, destroying the car would cost me 1000€, 2 scratches 2000€.In the end my experience with Sixt was good and I felt like sharing it here because it seems like only people with terrible experience are posting and I want to reassure those who have already booked and prepaid that if to take real good care of the car everything will be ok. But I can't speak about what would have happened if I had had a scratch, and those can happen even if you're careful. Would they have taken advantage of it and made me pay a 1000€ or would they have charged me 130€ like it has happened to me in the past with another similar company for a scratch done by a third party while parked? And to put things into perspective about accidents, my GF used 50mb of googling images without a data package for Sardinia and it has cost her 150€...CONCLUSION: good experience a bit tarnished by worrying due to comments only of negative experiences (I now know that it is possible to have a good one) and the scaring into buying full coverage..

Very responsive re lost property in car

I was in a rush when I returned the car and failed to notice that my wallet fell out of my pocket when I was collecting my belongings. (The check in was all very quick and easy.) Unfortunately I realised my error after going through airport security but was able to get through on the phone, where they quickly checked the car and found my wallet for me, and then arranged safe return of said wallet!! Such a relief

Model Car Hire Experience - Others Please Learn!

Used Sixt for a rental in the Azores in July (hired through Gotrentalcars.com). They were absolutely great. The very definition of what a holiday rental should be - right car available with no extra charges and pickup/drop off very quick.When picking the car up, they did the paperwork in about 2 mins then showed me round the car, pointing out all scratches (which were also shown on the paperwork). They confirmed that no scratch less than 5cm would be charged and no damage to the wheel covers would be charged at all, which I thought was very generous (and totally unique in my experience of over 30 years of renting cars). Out with the car less than 10 mins after arriving at the rental company. The damage report was thorough, showing about 10 minor scratches, so not a beat up wreck either. Just a normal car rental car showing a little wear after about 5000km of rentals.Hand back was similarly thorough, but quick with paperwork showing the car was returned with no additional damage. I was also told if I hired again from Sixt within a year, I would get 10% off (can't remember if this was Sixt Portugal or worldwide).All in all, perfect. If only Sixt would allow me to hire direct from them for the same price I got hiring via an agency, rather than the ridiculous prices the big internationals (National, Hertz, Avis etc) all use for personal customers. Why can I hire from them via an agency for about 1/3 the rate that they want to charge me direct???
