Good show, easyjet!

I have been pretty impressed by easyjet's response, especially compared to the lamentable performance of British Airways. They advise in advance of a possible cancellation, and provide incentives for you to move the flight or get a voucher before cancellation actually occurs. Admittedly it has not always been clear how to go about this. The first time I was told to reply by email, and the second time to ring a number which I gave up ringing after over an hour. Now I discover I can manage my own booking! So, all things considered, well done, easyjet! I shall not forget your help at this time!

Compared with all the other companies…

Compared with all the other companies I've been trying to get a refund from for cancelled flights, easyJet were by far the best. They had an online form (https://www .easyjet. com/en/ policy/coronavirus/online-support/q0 - DELETE THE SPACES) and refunded me within a week.

Quite efficient

Despite everything I've heard, have actually dealt with the covid-19 situation really well. Easy to move flights you're not planning on using, finding the refund button is a bit of a nightmare, but once you've found it, refunded quite quickly. Better than most :)

Honest and efficient response due Covid horrors Flights cancelled, however easyJet have made it very efficient to rebook. Not much else can be done .. Seems to be complaints here about refund time, and maybe it is taking longer than normal but give them a break!

Give Easyjet a break

People need to give Easyjet a break. I have a few flights booked with them and don’t intend to ask for my money back I want to move my flight if needed and they obviously have a lot of people to deal with and less staff. They like a lot of people are at risk of losing their jobs and people are only worried about getting their refund. Why what are they going to do with it put it in the bank a get interest of 0.1%. I would rather the airline keeps going so that we can look forward to the future. People these days are self centred. This is a difficult time and people should have consideration. No I am not rich and I don’t work for Easyjet. I am a nurse working in a care home and hoping we get through this without getting covid

Give it 3 months.....

Give it 3 months, it will be easier to scrutinise and reflect!Slowly, but surly the ‘new normal’ era will take hold, with no doubt having an effect in many aspects of our lives.Give it 3 months, we will be better placed and maybe wiser to appreciate the financial difficulties / constraints the worldwide airline industry have sustained over the previous 6 months. The grim reality of possible contraction (third - half) of the global airlines industry will manifest itself and eventually whatever the circumstances this will have a long term financial repercussions to flights costs! I had an easyJet flight scheduled for April 20 and reluctantly accepted that by opting to take on the free-of-charge rescheduling of the flight 6 months later, this would be the best outcome, surly by delaying the flight to a later date, this does not leave one out of pocket but also ensuring the financial position of the budget airline?Imagine all cancelled flights would be repaid in full? So, hate it or loathe it, in 3 months time you will have no choice but using the only airlines (budget) strong enough financially to withstand the onslaught of COVID19 Pandemic!

Helped when needed most, thank you Easyjet.

Tough times for Easyjet and many of their customers. Our flight was cancelled due to the travel restrictions so there's nothing they could of done about that. They immediately offered a transfer at no cost which we couldn't use then refunded the price. This took a little longer than the guid lines but understandable under the circumstances. We also has a holiday booked through STA who are flatly refusing our refund request, so thank you Easyjet but don't use STA travel unless you want to be left high & dry.

Very pleased with quick refund from EasyJet.

We had a holiday booked in Croatia on 20th April which EasyJet cancelled for obvious reasons.They tried the "vouchers for another holiday" routine, which I ignored and so they offered a refund via an online claim form. I'm pleased to say that we received the refund for our holiday within the time frame they had specified and so we are very pleased with them and would have no hesitation in booking with them in future (always supposing that things ever get back to normality.

You get what you paid for

You get what you paid for. I honestly didn’t expect much, I booked a flight from London to Amsterdam with a return ticket as well. It’s alright for the price paid. Insanely cheap, very happy. Staff made me feel welcomed. I had trouble with my seatbelt. Since it was a public holiday, the staff then made a joke “I’m sorry, I think it’s on holiday it doesn’t seem to be working”... that joke got be cracking up Hahahahahah I remember it till today. Not to worry, I just put it the wrong way or something the staff then assisted me in buckling it right.

Well done EasyJet in trying times

Myself and a party of 5 others were due to fly to Prague for a 4 night package holiday with EasyJet Holidays on 15th March. On Thursday 12th March the Czech Government stopped entry for 15 countries due to Covid19. On the morning of Friday 13th March we received an email from EasyJet advising holiday was cancelled and that we would receive a full refund in a few days. Understandably this has taken longer to receive but we have now received a full refund of over £2300. I must admit I was worried at times thinking they might go bust and we would receive nothing but because it was a package holiday we were covered under ABTA anyway. I emailed EasyJet on 2 or 3 occasions and they always replied, in 2 - 3 days. Given the sheer volume of refunds they have had to process on reduced staffing levels, I say well done EasyJet. Have never had a problem flying with them in the past and will book again when normal service resumes. Be patient folks!

Due to COVID19 Easyjet had no option but to cancel my flights. Today I received a full refund. This is a very welcome outcome Especially during these testing times for us all and for every business.Thank you Easyjet. Finally received my refund, after initial PR disaster!!

Finally received my promised refund after weeks of hassle just as many have described. I got through on the helpline (after 100s of attempts since flight cancelled) and spoke to someone in South Africa!An email arrived minutes later confirming full refund (over £550 for our group) and it has been received.So I'll give 3 stars now that's happened, but easyJet has some way to go to to repair its reputation after the very poor initial strategy of doing everything they could to avoid the legal entitlement of a refund which was a complete PR disaster!
